The background is similar to that of the EU's ngi.eu (next generation internet), including originally European/human values and goals. trusting.one is not initially a high-tech mega-neuro-AI or similar, but originally starts at the basis of the entire global network and supplements/replaces the internet with a global intranet. This is already described by the name of today's Internet:

Who is trusting.one for?
trusting.one is for all people who want to live and experience consistent youth and data protection, maximum privacy, freedom and self-determination, fairness, as well as communication regardless of type and range, on a human basis/equal footing with maximum realizable security. Despite all freedom and self-determination, respect and comply with the applicable regulations, laws, etc. as a matter of course. Also in the sense of respect, dignity, honor and respect for the individual.
In short: For all people who live transparency, justice and harmony and, if necessary, pass them on. This is by no means contradictory with regard to, for example, commerce or freedom of expression: where there is mutual will and respect, there is at least one way - this is always true.
